Paul Costabile hosts, and if you've never heard of him, he seems most famous for being baby daddy to singer Christina Perri. He also does a lot of media stuff around New York City, which is probably where NBC ran across him for this game show gig.
BTC has been around forever in one form or another, so a kids version may have been inevitable sooner or later. My guess is that Universal Kids will do a decent job of adopting the format for the young'uns. It's kind of hard to screw up, though you have to be careful the kids don't hurt themselves. (I always thought that the liability lawyers must have vetted all those kid stunt shows on Nick very carefully, by the way.)
Universal Kids is an almost unwatched cable net, so far behind Nickelodeon that it's almost a joke. Good luck on rebooting a classic format.
