Saskatchewan Roughriders 2017 Most Outstanding Player Duron Carter set Twitter ablaze on Christmas Day when he Tweeted: "I have got some big news coming in the next few weeks. Be sure to tune in!!"
The Tweet was Liked 359 times and drew 56 responses as of Tuesday night.
The message could mean a variety of things. With the Roughriders re-signing three potential free agents just prior to Christmas, Carter's news could be that he's agreed to terms on a new deal with the Green & White. He's due to become a CFL free agent in February.
Or, Carter could have landed a free agent deal in the NFL.
620 CKRM reported on December 12 that the wide receiver worked out for the Arizona Cardinals. If the 26-year old has worked out for any other NFL teams, it hasn't been reported anywhere.
