Rumors

Originally posted this as an update on an earlier entry. But it deserves its own place, along with some sage comments on game show Interweb rumors.

GSN has released new schedules for the December 4-10 and 11-17 weeks. The oldies boards will be thrilled that the Antichrist Steve Harvey gets all of prime time on weekdays. One note may please oldies fans a little. GSN will apparently run the usual late night black-and-white stunt for the weeks of December 18-24 and 25-31. I'm not sure about it, and I don't have the details yet.

I've also seen some rumors around the game show Interwebs that GSN's Snap Decision might get a second season. Anything's possible, but the show is nowhere in sight on the upcoming GSN schedules.

Stuff gets around the game show Interwebs a little slowly sometimes, as I pointed out with the "news" that Winsanity is not coming back to GSN any time soon (if ever). On the famous other hand, crazy ideas can often bounce around the web at the speed of phosphors. I still remember the prank about a supposed GSN show involving a giant pile of rock, which had the web in an uproar until cooler heads (mine included) nailed the obvious hoax.

More recently, one of the oldies boards get its knickers in a twist about GSN running Toddlers & Tiaras, based on a goofy misread of an Emogenius promo. Anyhoo, I try not to run with any news until I see some actual confirmation. And when I'm not sure - as with the GSN black-and-white holiday stunt - I say so.
