News gets around, eventually

Posted this on my November 19 entry, but not everybody reads my blog. (What's wrong with you?)

Anyway, BuzzerBlog and Game Show Newsnet have finally realized that Winsanity is not coming back to GSN. Just to let you in on the secret, the show isn't in the lineup for this week or next week or the week after that. I don't have the schedules for any more distant weeks, but I don't expect to see Donald Faison back in the near or far future.

The reason is obvious. GSN decided not to scrap an airing of their best ratings getter, Steve Harvey's Family Feud, at 5:00 PM weekdays. Especially when Winsanity's ratings history is so-so at best. The show's numbers slid downhill as the weeks went by.

Funny thing, Winsanity's second season was a definite step up, in my opinion. On the famous other hand, BuzzerBlog dumps on season number two. They managed to fix some of the format, make other parts unbelievably dumb, and completely remove any fun or energy or excitement.

Oh well, opinions are like noses - we've all got 'em. But Nielsen, as always, has the only opinion that literally counts. And Winsanity didn't wow the sample.

A schedule note on our other little game show network. This week Buzzr will run an ep of Press Your Luck that hasn't seen the light since the show's original run. If I thought PYL was all that good, I might get excited.
