"They're humans, and we've got an interesting group," smiled Riders Head Coach & GM Chris Jones. "It's a buncha real good guys."
Meanwhile Jones provided a list of roster updates for Saturday's home game against the Edmonton Eskimos (5:00 pm, TSN, 620 CKRM Rider Radio Network).
Running backs Trent Richardson and Cameron Marshall will miss the game due to injury, along with receiver Naaman Roosevelt and linebacker Sam Eguavoen.
Meanwhile Jones said Marcus Thigpen will return to the lineup as the starting tailback.
If the Riders win Saturday, they'll finish in third place and stay in the CFL West for the playoffs. However if they lose, they'll finish in fourth place and crossover into the East.
"We're not worried about the playoffs. We're worried about this football game," Jones announced. "We're going to play the best football that we possibly can play and the healthy bodies that we have, we'll send out there to compete against Edmonton."
Wednesday's Day 2 practice will be closed.
