REGINA - 620 CKRM has learned the Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed veteran Canadian wide receiver Chris Getzlaf.
The 34-year old Regina product was released by the Edmonton Eskimos last month after originally signing with the Esks in 2016.
Getzlaf was drafted by Hamilton out of the U of R in 2007 but spent the next 10 seasons with his hometown Roughriders, winning two Grey Cups and was named the 2013 Grey Cup Most Outstanding Canadian.
The Riders have injuries at the Canadian receiver position including Nic Demski and Devon Bailey.
The 8-7 Riders visit Calgary Friday night.
