THUNDER VISIT HILLTOPS SATURDAY NIGHT

The Regina Thunder are preparing for what is sure to be a tough road game against long-time rivals the Saskatoon Hilltops Saturday night.

In their first meeting of the season, the Hilltops came out on top with a 37-20 victory in Week 1.

This is an important game as it could determine whether the Thunder earn a home playoff game or not.

The Thunder need to win by one point more than the Hilltops beat them by to win the season series.

The Thunder have had time to heal some nagging injuries and to mentally prepare for the upcoming challenge.

“As a team coming off the bye week we seem healthy and more importantly focused for the latter half of the season.” said Head Coach Scott MacAulay.

Although the Hilltops are currently undefeated this season the team is excited and ready for the challenge.

“Anytime you have an opportunity to play your provincial rivals it is going to be exciting.”

Kick-off is Saturday, September 9 at 7:00 p.m. Gordie Howe Field in Saskatoon.
