The Roughriders held a closed practice for Day 3 of their work week as they prepare for Sunday's Labour Day Classic against Winnipeg (2:00 pm, TSN, 620 CKRM).
There were two key notes coming out of the session:
- Coach Chris Jones confirmed Chad Owens will NOT make his Saskatchewan debut on Sunday. Jones said Owens remains on the 6-game Injured List.
- And last year's Rider Defensive MVP Otha Foster was released by the NFL's Baltimore Ravens Friday morning. Jones said Foster is "one of my guys" and he expects to get a phone call from Otha if he's looking for a place to play.
