This rivalry is one of the biggest and longest in Canadian football and started when the Regina Rams, now known as the Thunder, were still part of the CJFL. The Thunder beat the Hilltops in 2013 ending their chance to win the championship 4 years in a row.
The Regina Thunder have been hard at work this week preparing for their home opener. Thunder head coach Scott MacAulay expects his team to come out aggressively from the start.
“The guys have been practicing hard all week and there has been a large focus on toughness and being aggressive. I expect us to come out early firing on all cylinders.”
Tickets for the game are available at Gate 1, the Southwest corner of the stadium. Elphinstone is closed for construction so access the stadium via Lewvan Dr. or Princess St. and park near Gate 1 as well.
