Os alemães unhappybirthday lançaram em 2013 o EP Kraken que foi reeditado esta semana pela novíssimo selo Wave Tension Records. Este registo traz os temas já conhecidos cuidadosamente remasterizados, incluindo duas músicas inéditas e uma nova capa com assinatura de Liz Pavlovic.
O trio, formado em 2011, oferece algo muito agradável na sua abordagem synth-pop minimalista / post-punk melódico fazendo lembrar Motorama em singles como "Fargo", "Kraken" e "Centauri". Já os singles "Fluorid" e "Smileys" trazem uma sonoridade mais Ariel Pink. Simples na sua estrutura, mas ressonante no escopo, as poucas músicas deste EP capturam o equilíbrio perfeito de um estado espírito triste e solitário, mas sempre contemplativo. Kraken foi editado oficialmente a 25 de julho pelo selo Wave Tension Records.
