Daytime fun and games

Rambling through the game show Interwebs, I came across a post wondering why CBS doesn't try a game show block in the daytime.

To point out the obvious, The Price is Right and Let's Make a Deal run for two hours every weekday on CBS. Those two hours would have been a pretty good block back in the old days of half-hour game shows.

A response to the original post suggested a reboot of Password as an addition to CBS daytime. I'm not sure where the show could fit in, given that CBS regularly renews all its current daytime shows. CBS already tried Million Dollar Password in prime time, of course. The show pulled plenty of viewers - ten million for some eps - but the demos were too old. Or at least network execs didn't like the median viewer age.

A funny note from the linked story. In 2010 a 2.2 18-49 rating on broadcast TV was "weak." Nowadays that would be a runaway hit in the demo.
