During their four-game Alberta road trip, the Regina Red Sox picked up three wins.
Starting pitcher Will Moore recorded his first win as Red Sox today. Moore was brilliant on the hill allowing one run on four hits before handing the ball to the Sox bullpen. Ruddy Estrella, Preston Minor and Seth Sorenson each produced one scoreless inning to close out the victory for Regina.
Jordan Schulz continues to impress WMBL fans with his productivity at the plate. Today he had two hits including a base clearing triple. Lumsden’s Geordie McDougall also had a pair of hits for the Sox.
Bomber starter Trevor Wiegel, a freshman at Cisco College, took the loss. He gave up six runs on eight hits and three walks over five innings of work. Kyle Genenbacher, was the bright spot on offence as he had two hits for Brooks.
Regina, who will travel to Melville for a road game on Tuesday, is now 7-3 on the season. With the loss, Brooks dropped to 1-6.
