Overview
The Regina Pats (5-3) face elimination tonight when they host game five against the Swift Current Broncos (7-4). Puck drop at the Brandt Centre is at 7 p.m. The Pats lost game four in triple overtime, 5-4 and trail the best of seven series three games to one. The game can be heard on 620 CKRM with Bennett Dunlop Ford Pats Hockey beginning at 6:35 p.m. It will also be broadcast on Access 7.

Lead Up: Pats Lose Triple OT Marathon in Game 4
The Regina Pats lost a marathon game four in triple overtime to the Swift Current Broncos on Tuesday night, 5-4 the final score. The Pats led 2-0 and 3-2 in the contest but found themselves down by a goal in the dying seconds of regulation. With the net empty, Dawson Leedahl would score with 20 seconds left, his fourth of the game to force OT. The first two extra periods solved nothing but in the third OT, Swift Current went to the powerplay and Glenn Gawdin would score to win it for the Broncos. With the victory, Swift Current takes a 3-1 series lead. The shots on goal were 69-69 in the game, Tyler Brown made 64 saves for Regina, Jordan Papirny with 65 for Swift Current.

Series At A Glance
The Pats and Broncos split the first two games at the Brandt Centre, Swift Current then picked up two overtime wins on home ice in games three and four. Regina has scored 12 goals, the Broncos have scored 11 times. The Pats have gone three for 16 on the PP and have killed 14 of 18 penalties. The Pats have outshot Swift Current 197 to 155 in four games to start the series. Dawson Leedahl leads Regina with five goals and an assist in the series. Austin Wagner, Sam Steel and Nick Henry each have put up four points while Goaltender Tyler Brown is 1-0-3 with a 2.31 GAA and a .929 SV%. Swift Current’s Ryley Lindgren has scored three times and has three assists against the Pats. Tyler Steenbergen and Aleksi Heponiemi have both recorded four points while Jordan Papirny is 3-1-0 with a 2.31 GAA and a .944 SV%.

Leedahl’s Monster Game
Pats overage forward Dawson Leedahl had a career night in Tuesday’s triple overtime loss to the Broncos in game four. The Saskatoon product scored every one of the Pats four goals in the defeat. Leedahl scored twice in the first and twice in the third, including one with 20 seconds left to force overtime. Leedahl enters Friday night, tied for first in the playoffs with eight goals and is tied for eight in overall scoring with 12 points.

Crazy Stat
Despite being down 3-1 in the series, the Pats hold a significant edge in playing time with a lead. The Pats have scored first in every game and have led for 105:58, the Broncos meanwhile have led in the series for just 10:12. Regina has outscored Swift Current 12-11 through the first four games but the Broncos have found three OT goals.
