Overview
The Regina Pats (7-3) return home tonight to host a seventh and deciding game against the Swift Current Broncos (7-6). Puck drop at the Brandt Centre is at 7 p.m. The Pats forced the game seven with a 5-3 win on the road in game six on Saturday night to tie the series 3-3. The game can be heard on 620 CKRM with Bennett Dunlop Ford Pats Hockey beginning at 6:35 p.m. It will also be broadcast on Access 7.

Lead Up: Pats Come Back to Win Game 6, Saturday
The Regina Pats came back from down 3-1 in the second to win 5-3 in game six on Saturday night and force a game seven against the Swift Current Broncos. The Pats scored first in the game, but the Broncos came back with three in a row and led 3-1 early in the second. The Pats responded late in the middle frame with goals from Josh Mahura and Wyatt Sloboshan to tie it up 3-3 going to the third. Early in the final frame, Austin Wagner scored his second of the night to make it 4-3, then Filip Ahl made it 5-3 and that was the final score. Wyatt Sloboshan led the offence with four points while Filip Ahl and Austin Wagner put up three. The Broncos outshot the Pats 37-28 in game six.

Series At A Glance
The Pats and Broncos split the first two games at the Brandt Centre, Swift Current then picked up two overtime wins on home ice in games three and four. Regina bounced back with wins in game’s five and six to force game seven. Regina has scored 20 goals while the Broncos have scored 16 times. The Pats have gone four for 22 on the powerplay and have killed 21 of 27 penalties. The Pats have outshot Swift Current 261 to 224 in six games to start the series. Dawson Leedahl leads Regina with five goals and three assists in the series. Sam Steel and Austin Wagner each have put up seven points. Tyler Brown is 3-0-3 with a 2.26 GAA and a .929 SV%. Swift Current’s Ryley Lindgren, Glenn Gawdin and Tyler Steenbergen lead their team with six points in the series. Jordan Papirny is 3-3-0 with a 2.70 GAA and a .927 SV%.

Game 7 At Home
It’s been 45 years and a day since the last time the Pats hosted a game seven on home ice in the playoffs. The last time was in 1972 when Regina beat the Flin Flon Bombers 3-2 in the first round. The Pats won that series, three games to two with two ties. This is the 16th game 7 seven in franchise history, the Pats are 7-7-1 in those games, the one tie forcing an eighth game. Overall the Pats are 7-8 in series that have gone to seven games in their history. The Pats are 4-1 at home in game sevens.

Sloboshan, Wagner and Ahl
The Pats got a huge game from their second line in game six against the Broncos. Wyatt Sloboshan, Austin Wagner and Filip Ahl combined for four goals and six assists in the victory. Sloboshan led the way with a goal and three helpers while Ahl and Wagner had three points each. Ahl scored his first career playoff goal and had his first multi-point playoff game.
