Morhau is a German swordfighting technique that sees fighters gripping their swords by the blade and using the crossguard to strike blows (usually against more heavily armoured opponents). This is but one of the techniques players can employ in this semirealistic melee combat game. While not an accurate representation of HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts), Mordhau does take a realistic approach to the capabilities of the weapons and armour in the game.
