Wheel of Fortune's Winnebago is on the road again, looking for contestants amid the great American unwashed. The big van rolled into Paso Robles, CA this weekend, and the hopefuls turned up for a shot at 30 minutes of fame and, well, fortune. "I tried out for the Wheel of Fortune about eight years ago when I lived in Fresno and I didn't get in, but now it is my chance to do it again and I'm really excited." If at first you don't succeed...
Wannabe contestants play a stripped-down version of the game, and it probably helps to guess a few puzzles. Not to mention that you better have a BIG PERSONALITY, as the casting calls always shout. What if you have a little mousy personality? Our genre is not for you, apparently.
The linked story features an impromptu rendition of Good Golly, Miss Molly. I'm not sure what that has to do with game shows, but somewhere Little Richard is happy.
