The Regina Pats (43-9-6-1) kick off a five game home stand Friday night against the Swift Current Broncos (30-18-4-6). Puck drop is 7 p.m. at the Brandt Centre. The Pats were last in action on Wednesday in Saskatoon and beat the Blades 4-1 for a second consecutive win. The Broncos have been off since Saturday when they hosted the Everett Silvertips and lost 3-2 in overtime. The Pats are 4-0-0-0 against the Broncos so far this season, tonight is the fifth of eight meetings on the year. Lead Up: Pats Dominate in Saskatoon Wednesday
The Regina Pats dominated their way to a 4-1 win in Saskatoon on Wednesday night over the Blades. Playing their sixth game in nine days, the Pats came out flying, outshooting Saskatoon 17-5 in the first, 18-4 in the second and 47-16 overall. Dawson Leedahl and Nick Henry each had a goal and an assist to lead the Pats offence while Tyler Brown picked up his 26th win in goal, making 15 saves. The Pats were three for seven on the powerplay and three for four on the penalty kill.
Head to Head
The Pats hold a 4-0-0-0 record against Swift Current heading into tonight’s fifth meeting of the season. Regina has won once at home and three times on the road in the season series. The Pats have scored 22 goals to the Broncos nine in the first four games. Regina has outshot Swift Current 162-110, the powerplay has gone seven for 16 and the penalty kill 11 for 14. The Pats currently lead the WHL with 93 points through 59 games, the Broncos sit third in the East Division with 70 points and are 10 points back of the second place Moose Jaw Warriors. Regina is led by Dawson Leedahl who has five goals and 10 points in the four games against Swift Current. Nick Henry has four goals and eight points while Connor Hobbs, Adam Brooks and Sam Steel are next with seven points apiece. Goaltender Tyler Brown is 2-0-0-0 with a 2.00 goals against average and a .926 save percentage. The Broncos Lane Pederson has five assists in the three games while Glenn Gawdin, in one game against Regina, has two goals and two helpers.

The Pats wrapped up a stretch of five straight games on the road on Wednesday night in Saskatoon, tonight, the club will play the first of five in a row on home ice. Regina has played 59 games on the season, 32 on the road and 27 at home.
